Day 4... the ride home... It was a brisk 48 degrees this morning we headed out to breakfast. We were on the road home by 9:20 a.m. The ride was relatively uneventful, until Mike was nearly run off the road in heavy traffic on the Garden State Parkway. Just the typical how do you do from an un-courteous Jersey driver with his head up his ass. When we finished the 303 mile ride home, it was nearly 90 degrees. I want to thank all my friends that made this a great trip! I hope they can all make it again next year.
Day 3... Well this morning was another foggy one when we woke up, but the skies quickly cleared and we had nothing but sun all day.  Today our ride took us 246 miles in and around Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest.  We went through towns like Middlebury, Bristol, Killington, and Rutland.  We had lunch at a place called The Mad Taco where Mike was challenged by the owner to eat a habinero pepper soaked in tequilla. After being coaxed with a free t-shirt if he did, Mike downed the pepper and lived to tell about it. Although, he said he was feeling the effects of it for the rest of the day.

Day 2...  The day started out with thick fog and the threat of rain.  After a hearty breakfast we made our way north from Chestertown. There were some spectacular mountain views along the way,  and we stopped for lunch in Lake Placid. After lunch and some sight seeing we continued north west and that's when the rain started. The last 3 1/2 hours of riding were in the rain. We got back to camp at 5:30.  Today we rode 185 miles.  Tomorrow we head into Vermont. The weather is supposed to be a little better.

Our bike trip was going so well for the first 20 miles, until the muffler on Brian's motorcycle gave out just north of the Asbury toll plaza. After 30 minutes it was clear that we were not going to be able do fix it and Brain had to call for help and wasn't able to continue with us.

All in all it was a great day and great weather for riding.  336 miles and we're settling in for a few beers.  Tomorrow's weather is questionable. We'll wait and see.
